Hey there kiddos~ Wondering just what RE is really about? You've come to the right place! In this thread I'm gonna explain what our little community is about. The basic thought behind RE originated in a wonderful site called My Sanctuary Academy. That site was a haven for Square Enix characters, meaning that you could take up absolutely any character from Square or Square Enix games. Awesome right? Well unfortunately things didn't work out perfectly there, but some of us die-hard fans just weren't ready to let go. Thus was born Requiem's Edge.

Much like the lovely MSA before it, RE is a haven for Square characters. You can pick up absolutely any Square or Square Enix character in this role play, but if canons just aren't your cup of tea there are boundless possibilities in the city of Symphony for OC's, or Original Characters, as well. In the plotline there is a section in which it is mentioned that the four great mages bring back warriors from the dead, warriors from different worlds. These warriors are the canon characters. This doesn't mean you can't create an OC that was summoned, it just explains why Square Enix characters are in this site.

"But the characters I want to play don't die in the game!"

For the sake of our role play, they sorta do. Consider them dead at the age they hit at the end of the game and then just revive them for the sake of this role play! It's all free-game here so snatch up your favsies before someone else does.

"Do you mean anyone from Square or Square Enix? Even the side-characters?"

YOU BETCHA. We love seeing the diverse ones. Like on MSA there was a bunch of people playing some of the Tantalus crew from FFIX. Seriously. Any Square character from a game. This doesn't include 'literature' that they published. Just the video games. Nice thought though~

"Can my canon character be a member of the recital clan?"

I'm afraid not kiddos. Since the Recital Clan is canon to the world of Symphony it would be a little more than a stretch to try to fit in Enix canons.
