APPEARANCE:There are many defining characteristics about Blank that really set him apart in a crowd. The first thing you might notice of this man is his patched skin, which he gained due to battles in his past. Beyond those somewhat unsettling battle-scars there is another particularly odd aspect of his appearance and that relates to the odd belt-headband that he has lowered over his eyes. Blank doesn't talk about it when prompted and it is presumably because of more scars. Generally it gives the young man an intimidating image, letting everyone know with a single look that he isn't an amateur.
It isn't just Blank's basic appearance that tells people he's a capable fighter though, as he wears belts and a sword at his hip. His attire is form fitting for the most part, over-sized belts around his waist and chest, so that he can move in a battle freely. His bright red hair is somewhat messy and styled back, giving a fiery feel. Blank also wears thick gloves that protect his hand from slipping on his blade. For foot-ware Blank dons warm and protective boots.
PERSONALITY:Blank is a self-assured, head strong man who might even be called cocky in certain situations. His demeanor is usually very relaxed, though he does seem to make good first impressions when he has the chance. Blank's cocky attitude has been known to get him into trouble though, as he likes to brag about being a ladies man or a great fighter. Certain aspects of what he says is true, but Blank always seems to have a way of inflating the truth when it suits his image. Where this cockiness fades though is in matters of protecting/saving close friends. Blank is a deceptively loyal man who would sacrifice himself for his friends, which he has already done once before. His closest friend Marcus is where this trait seems to shine most though with Zidane in a close second.
One part of Blank that most people can't seem to handle is his honesty. If Blank were to see someone doing something foolish he wouldn't mince words and he simply couldn't beat around the bush. As simple as sun shines Blank can and will blurt out how stupid something really is. It isn't uncommon though for Blank to piss someone off with his honesty and use his smooth-talking thief learned charm to sneak his way out of the conversation. In the end it's somewhat hard to actually dislike Blank considering how big his heart is and how fiercely loyal he always remains. The boyish cockiness and sometimes fool-hardy bluntness usually just acts as masks so that no one sees the weaker points to the man, mainly how strong his connections really are despite the fact that he hardly ever expresses them to be.
The most subtle emotion that Blank has though relates to a new state that he seemed to gain when he arrived in Symphony. There is a reservation that keeps Blank a little quieter than normal and while this is hard to spot it seems he gets lost in his own mind more often than he used to. There are slight unspoken fears of death or never feeling like he truly belonged anywhere anymore, but Blank denies any such thing when someone tries to talk to him about his distance. Blank seems to be suffering from a few worrisome feelings that cause him to fear never seeing any of his old friends every again, another cause for his peculiar attitudes.
BIOGRAPHY:The first sighting of Blank is on the Prima Vista when Baku jumps into the room with a dragon mask on and starts a fight with his crew. It is soon revealed that Blank is a member of the band of thieves that masquerades as a traveling theater troupe. The first mission that the group is seen working on is the kidnap of Garnet Til Alexandros XVII, masked by the play 'I Want To Be Your Canary' for the princess's birthday. Everyone in Tantalus took up characters and the next sight of Blank is when he is mock dueling Zidane during the play. The two fight their way off stage and begin plotting their sneaky extraction of their princess prize only to find her running off, trying to make her own escape. After a complicated chase, the Tantalus group agrees to Garnets surprising request to be kidnapped, just what they intended to do in the first place, and they fight their way out of Alexandria after their true purposes are revealed.
After the ship Prima Vista takes extreme damage due to the Queen's harsh weaponry and bomb related assualt, the group attempts to make an escape, but instead they find themselves crashing just outside of Alexandria and into the Evil Forest. During the crash, Zidane and Garnet were thrown from the ship. Though Zidane landed nearby, Garnet was nowhere in sight after the crash. A great many in the crew of the Prima Vista were injured, but Zidane kept insisting on taking Vivi and Steiner to go find the princess; after being rejected by Baku, Zidane says he's leaving Tantalus and sets out to find the princess. Blank meets Zidane just before he leaves and tosses him an antidote to some particularly nasty poison from the forest creatures and then he walks off. Blank is only next seen after Zidane and the others find Garnet who is being guarded by a large best. Just barely into the battle, Blank arrives proclaiming, "Whew, I made it just in time. Step aside, I'll take care of this!" The group fights valiantly and saves the princess, being sure to treat her with Blank's antidote right away.
Just as it seemed the day was saved, the forest reacted to the death of the mysterious plant creature prompted the rest of the forest to go out of control. In mere moments the group was fully surrounded by small creatures known as Plant Spiders and the chase was on. Everyone ran to escape the creatures only to realize that the forest was beginning to petrify just behind them. During the panic, Zidane says to Blank "Take care of everyone" and he begins to fall behind. Just as Zidane is about to be captured by one of the monsters, Blank pushes him out of the way and gets captured by the monsters instead. Blanks tosses Zidane a continental map just before being petrified with the rest of the forest.
It isn't until later, after the Tantalus gang acquires an items known as Supersoft, that Blank is seen. After Marcus rushes to the forest with the petrification cure, he rushes Blank along towards Alexandria where Zidane is fighting Zorn and Thorn to try and save Garnet. A fight against Brahne and all of her minions break out and everyone, including Blank and Marcus, fight to save Zidane and Garnet from the Queen's even purposes.
Later, after the Queen dies, Ruby decides to open a mini-theater in Alexandria and Blank and the crew decides to aid in her efforts. While assisting Ruby, Blank tended to get himself into trouble with the woman, but when he wasn't doing that he was often patrolling the streets with Marcus. When Zidane and the crew come back into town, Blank tries to use Vivi as a distraction by sending him in to see Ruby's first show, but she sees right through his plan and scolds him all the more for it.
Just as all seemed calm and right, Alexandria was attacked and nearly leveled flat by Eidolins and then the Invincible. Deciding to head back to Lindblum to rebuild their Headquarters, everyone in Tantalus except Ruby leaves Alexandria for the time being. Later, Cid asks Blank to accompany Zidane and friends by becoming the pilot to the ship the Blue Narciss. Blank leads them to Kuja's desert palace and later Esto Gaza, as instructed by Zidane. Soon Cid builds the Hilda Garde III and Blank decides to remain in Lindblum to continue assisting in the rebuilding efforts. Blank stays in Lindblum until well after the final confrontation, heading back to Alexandria only once the Tantalus group decides to put on another play, specifically for the young Queen Garnet.
Everything slipped into peace after that. The kingdom was enjoying a golden era under the joyful rule of the Queen and there was no war. Blank decided after a time that he would like to stay in Alexandria, mainly because Ruby was very convincing. In fact the fiery young woman was so convincing that she had Blank working in her newly restored theater on a number of things including acting and cleaning up. Though he still had spats with Ruby, Blank could even feel himself growing happier as the kingdom did.
That was up until the day he died. The way he died was much like the way he lived. It was a heist and Blank had separated himself from the group to act as the distraction when a disgruntled rich target sent his mercenary guards after the fiery redhead. Blank did his best to escape but he was caught by his foe and they 'accidentally' killed him in the process. When Blank woke he was startled to be alive, but more so to learn that he was in an entirely different world. Zidane had traveled to a different world before, but that was different most certainly.
Being asked to save the city though was interesting to the young man. Blank didn't hold any interest in being a student but he liked the idea of being a hero, so he agreed to enroll in the school until he could show off his heroics. In the time since enrolling in the school however, Blank has made no real effort to move above Freshman status. Music magic just doesn't seem to interest him even though he knows it might to beneficial to know some magic of some sort.
