APPEARANCE:His gentle face and soft eyes give Phoenix a very pleasant and appealing appearance. The young man has long brown hair that he usually ties up in a loose bandage-like material and he will occasionally wear two bells in the front, where he sections out his hair a little more with a few more bandages. His soft eyes seem almost multi-colored, though are often a soft purple in color. All of his features make Phoenix appear very feminine and it isn't uncommon for him to be mistaken for a woman.
What Phoenix likes to wear is all very light and airy, sometimes even dresses if the mood strikes him. It becomes obvious that he doesn't care at all what people think of him based on his appearances, as he only cares about how he sees himself. Under his clothing is an intricate web of wires that he can pull out and use as weapons whenever he likes, but every once and a while he slips and cuts himself, leaving long thin scars on various sections of his body.
PERSONALITY:For the most part, Phoenix is a subdued man and remains mostly reserved. Silence isn't uncommon with the man, but when he does speak it's very sweet and soft. Though he will not go out of his way to directly help someone he doesn't hesitate to assist someone who needs him when he is available. The sweetness of his appearance is translated very gently into his personality, leaving him acting somewhat kind, though the kindness is a rare beauty, like his appearance.
For romantic encounters, of which Phoenix seems to have many, he is usually called 'coy'. It doesn't matter if the one flirting is male or female, because Phoenix will entertain either with enthusiasm and interest. Matters of love and attraction always leave Phoenix full of life and it is often when he is in one of those situations that he seems most open, even when he is playing at being coy. Occasionally he will pretend to be a woman for the sake of drawing out one of those encounters, usually landing himself into trouble with very proclaimed straight men.
BIOGRAPHY:Phoenix was born in a realm known as Lagoon Glaize. His home world was separated up into specific realms, though none of the realms came close to touching on their grand planet and there was no 'by land' travel system. Between each specific realm are mostly unexplored territories that are very dangerous and everyone on the planet is very aware of how foolhardy it would be to go out into them. Those who tried to either do not come back, or arrive back with a ruinous plague, which was the beginnings of Lagoon Glaize's problems. Lagoon Glaize was a pleasant realm full of scenic water-related locations, such as waterfalls and vast seas, but suffered from the plague that was slowly destroying the realm from within, brought back by one explorer who was determined to map the wilderness. The explorer died the day after he arrived back. This plague was known as 'myst' and was transferred through the air almost entirely unseen. The reason the plague was titled myst though was due to the occurrence that came right after one was infected with their first breath of plague. After being infected, when exhaling, the one who is infected breathes out a long breath of fog, or mist. Usually the plague would kill gradually, supposedly releasing your life energy with each breath you took, but it could often happen within the span of a day or even hours for the weak at heart. That was the world that Phoenix was born into.
The nature of the people in Lagoon Glaize, and on the entire planet for that matter, was a very spiritual one. Each and every human within Lagoon was born with a unique person-to-person type of magic. Some could swap bodies with others for a time. Some could read minds of others. Some could transfer or steal energy. Certain gifts often required the gifts of others to fully function, such as twins who were sometimes born with only half of the magical gift each (ohmahgosh, I was just told that there ARE twins like this on the site already. Sweeeeet). When Phoenix was born he was born of a woman and her husband, one gifted with the ability to heal and transfer energy and one gifted with the ability to borrow or unlock potential energy stored within others. Normally when two parents gifted in different magic give birth in Lagoon Glaize their child ends up with either or, but hardly ever both. Phoenix received aspects of each parent's gift, though he didn't get the ability to command both to the level his parents could.
As a boy Phoenix was happy and treated with ample love and care for each of his needs as they arose. Phoenix grew to love his parents unconditionally and often worried about what would happen if he should lose either (a possibility growing more possible as more came down with the myst as he aged). By the age of nine it was becoming alarming how close the plague was getting. Half of Phoenix's neighborhood was infected with it and the numbers only continued to grow. It was at this time that Phoenix vowed to become a hero someday, so he could save all of his friends and the rest of the realm. While their son was dreaming of saving the world his parents realized they needed to move and try to find a safer location, so before the week was over they chosen to move to an entirely different realm. Such traveling was very difficult to accomplish considering the lack of land routs, and expensive based on the fact that the only way to travel was through employing those magically gifted in teleportation. By the time the week was out they found someone to transport them to another realm and they settled on the combative realm of Yang, due to the boast that they were still entirely myst-free. The other benefit, though somewhat hard to handle for his parents, was that Phoenix would start learning how to defend himself in somewhat unconventional ways.
The child was enrolled in a gymnastics class after they had settled in their new home and the other children of Yang, though vastly more talented, accepted Phoenix quickly and helped him get acquainted. It wasn't until he was older that he realized it was because they all thought he was a little girl and there were none in that group before. In fact all throughout his childhood his friends and the neighborhood often thought of him as a young woman. It wasn't until he hit his teens and he first began to do things without a shirt on that he was discovered as being a boy. In fact so many of the boys who had developed a crush on him got enraged that they decided to get together one day and make Phoenix pay 'for deceiving them'. That group of boys cornered Phoenix one afternoon, starting a fight, and even though Phoenix was the least experienced of the bunch he still had enough grace to slip out of the way of every punch thrown. Eventually the boys gave up, too tired to bother with Phoenix, but the fight made the young man realize something. He was on his way to becoming the hero he always wanted to. From that day on the boy applied himself to becoming even more graceful in his fighting, taking up a dangerous weapon that few dared touch. Piano wire, though unpractical for most, suited Phoenix's desire for graceful combat and was easy to keep on hand. In learning how to accurately fight with it there were many times that the boy cut himself, retaining a few scars along the way.
At the age of eighteen Phoenix had decided that training in silence was simply not enough for him, so he decided to finally do something. On his quest to find a way to be a hero, Phoenix secretly traveled back to his home Lagoon Glaize to see how the place had been since he left. Many had died and the rest who lived there seemed to be hanging on by a thread. Phoenix felt guilt for leaving, knowing that it just as easily could have been him who died, so he put his mind to solutions. When Phoenix wandered into his old neighborhood he stumbled upon an old childhood friend who was frantic, as his father had just come down with myst and was dying rapidly. His old friend began to beg, crying for help of any sort, and that was where Phoenix's heroics really began. Experimentally, Phoenix put together the powers of his father and his mother and transferred energy from his friend to his friend's father, adding onto his failing lifespan. Phoenix warned though, "He won't last forever. I can only prolong the inevitable."
Though the friend's father did die a few days later, the extra time he was given was enough to say goodbye. Through that one act of kindness Phoenix's legend spread like wildfire throughout Lagoon Glaize and soon the young man found himself making more trips, each being paid for by desperate family members wishing for just a few more days with the ones they loved. In fact Phoenix was away from home so often that his parents didn't know where he was most of the site and didn't actually know until a week after he died that he was gone forever. Phoenix's death was unexpected by everyone, even the young man himself, but it was through another act of desperate kindness that Phoenix met his end. On a routine trip into Lagoon Glaize, Phoenix was walking the streets when he was called at by a woman crying desperately. The young man felt off, but wanted to help any way he could so he followed her. The woman led him to her infant, kept warm in an old coat because they were clearly homeless. She cried that her child had myst and begged Phoenix to help.
Phoenix had never before seen any child so young with the plague before so he agreed in an instant to do whatever he could possible to help and bent over the small body. Considering the mother was too weak, Phoenix decided to cast his own energy to the child, something that he had never done before. Phoenix felt himself fading in and out as a light enveloped the child and an overwhelming sense of dizziness set in. Before he collapsed to the ground Phoenix let out a long breath of foggy mist, dying before he even hit the ground. Everyone grieved for the loss of the great Phoenix Psyche and a grand memorial was erected in Lagoon Glaize for him and later the mother of the child he helped went and honored him herself. Her son that Phoenix had helped lived and seemed to have been entirely rid of the plague.
That was when he was called upon. Phoenix was revived by the Elegies and asked to attend the Sanctuary, to which he could only reply yes. Though the young man had devoted all of his short adulthood to help people he almost felt like he still had the obligation, yet he became much shier about helping those 'out of his way', where as before he would have went on a journey to save but a single life.
Destiny forgotten,
SKILL(S):
Phoenix has superior agility, but his most prominent skill relates to his flexibility. The young man has the ability to contort himself into unimaginable positions, so he is good at hiding and getting out of very sticky situations.
POWER(S):En Sap - If Phoenix can get his piano wire wrapped out any part of his enemy he has the ability to slowly sap energy from his foe. This skill can't take energy too fast, but when it's used right if can paralyze the enemy.
En Gift - If Phoenix is touching someone he has the ability to transfer energy to them. The energy can come from any other source, sometimes even wildlife.
WEAPON(S):

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:He held his breath for what felt like a lifetime before he could open his eyes again. Phoenix looked around cautiously, suddenly unaware of just where he found himself. The dark was all around him and for a moment he recalled just what it was like in his last moments of life. Am I dead? His voice echoed in his head a few moments as he wrinkled his nose in thought. He did die, that much he knew, but his head was so foggy as to what was going on currently. "What...?" He cut himself off as it came flooding back slowly. It was dark because it was the middle of the night. He was in his dorm at the Sanctuary. The other day he had been brought back from the dead.
It was surreal to say the least and Phoenix wasn't even sure if he was happy with his new life or not. Symphony was an interesting change of pace though and Phoenix found the music moving from what he could tell. Music wasn't so common where he came from, so it seemed like a rare beauty on to his ears and he savored every moment of it. Though it was only his first night there, Phoenix imagined he could have made a happier life there if only under different circumstances. Somehow tasting death really did change things. Phoenix thought perhaps feeling too much would be an insult to death. The young man wondered if there was anyone else feeling even somewhat like he was about the matter.
Phoenix pushed himself out of his bed and let out a long sigh. In the cold dark he could see his breath and it almost caused him to scream. It took a few moments for the young man to realize just how cold it was in the small dorm. Phoenix couldn't contain his sight of relief. The matter of myst and all those it killed still haunted his dreams and he couldn't help but wonder if he'd ever see the illness again. It didn't seem likely considering he had transferred worlds, but Phoenix still feared it silently. Whispering sorry to all those who had passed away and a silent goodbye to his world, Phoenix forced himself back to bed to hopefully rest.
