My name... is Ventus.
You're inside my heart...
But... It's broken...
FULL NAME:
Ventus

14

HOME WORLD:

SCHOOL RANK:

And the light inside of me is fading away...
APPEARANCE:
Ventus has golden spiky hair that sticks up in the front and his eyes are a deep cerulean color. He has a medium build and light skin. Ven wears a jacket that looks like a mix of Roxas' jacket and Sora's KHII jacket but the collar of the jacket is red like Roxas'. Under that is a gray vest with white patterns on it. He wears a high necked black shirt under both of these layers. He also has a piece of armor on his stomach under his vest. He wears a green and gray piece of armor on his shoulder and it goes along his upper left arm. On his left wrist, he wears a black and white checkered wristband. Ventus' pants are gray, black, and white. Ven wears two straps that cross on his chest and in the middle of it is a silver insignia that looks a bit like an upside down Nobody symbol. His boots are green, grey, and black with red lines running around the back them.
Armored Form: When he taps the piece of metal on his shoulder, Ventus becomes covered in armor. His suit of armor shares the colors of the piece he has on that are green and gold. The armor on his knee is gold and has sharp points jutting out of them. Ven's helmet has two horn-like prongs on either side of his head which point upward. Ven's boots in this form are very similar to the boots he wears normally.
PERSONALITY:
He is a lot like Sora attitude-wise. Cheerful, kind, compassionate and always ready for adventure, Ven sometimes seems to rush into situations which more often than not, lead to trouble. He also seems to be able to make friends with anyone he meets considering he is always wearing a smile and hardly ever down. The only negative side of his personality is that he is too trusting of individuals, so much that it borders on him being naive.
He has dreams of one day becoming a Keyblade Master alongside his lost friends, Terra and Aqua. But to counter his dreams, he fears that there may come a day that he will not be able to protect them like when he saw Aqua injured by Vanitas. He vowed to never let this happen again and that he would protect anyone he met.
BIOGRAPHY:
Ventus first began training under a n elderly Keyblade Master named Master Xehanort, a wizened old man who kept trying to tempt Ventus to use the darkness that lay in his heart. For if he did this, Xehanort would finally be able to get his hands on the x-blade, a weapon of unimaginable power that could open Kingdom Hearts and, to Xehanort, engulf the worlds in darkness so they could be born anew once more. But Ventus refused to yield to the darkness, even when Xehanort sent a horde of Neoshadows at him. Angered by the feckless neophyte, Xehanort summoned his own Keyblade and decided to use it to release the darkness within Ventus himself. Shoving his Keyblade into the boy’s chest, a ball of darkness erupted from it and formed a dark being. Xehanort gave it the name “Vanitas”. But since removing the darkness meant removing part of Ventus’ heart, it caused him to fall into a comatose state. Deciding to rid himself of the worthless boy, Xehanort brought him to the Destiny Islands. “There… You see? An empty world. Like a prison. I assume you’ll be right at home.” he said to the unconscious boy. Ventus then made a Dive to the Heart, but unlike the Dive to the Heart of other Keyblade Wielders, the platform he stood upon lay broken. A voice then filled his head asking where it was. It was a newly born heart that said it had been drawn to a light. Ventus replied, saying that it had been his light the heart had seen but that it was broken and that his light was fading away. The new heart then decided to combine his heart with Ventus’, that way, no more light could escape it. It said it would remain in his heart until he found the missing piece.
After doing so, Ven regains consciousness, though he lost all of his memories of what had happened with Master Xehanort. Xehanort, deciding that perhaps there could be some use in him, decided to take him to another Keyblade Master names Eraqus who resided in the Land of Departure. As they discussed the fate of Ventus, Eraqus’ other pupils, Terra and Aqua, introduce themselves to Ventus. But after Terra begins to ask Ventus questions about his past, the boy clutches his head, screaming loudly, and collapses. When Eraqus and Xehanort come running, Eraqus explained that Ventus’ heart had been damaged and that he had lost his memories. Since Terra had asked him all the questions, it had put a strain on his heart and caused him to fall into a deep sleep. After a while, Ven awoke again, much to Terra's and Aqua's pleasure. After training with the Keybladers for some time, Ventus began to form strong bonds with Terra and Aqua. They soon became his two best friends. Terra even gave Ven his wooden training Keyblade, showing just how much Ventus meant to him.
After four years of them all training, Aqua and Terra were ready to take the Mark of Mastery exam. This would decide which of them would join the rank of Keyblade Masters. Master Eraqus said that Master Xehanort was joining them, as to see the promising recruits battle. The first part of their test was to destroy orbs of light that Eraqus summoned. But unbeknownst to the rest of them, Xehanort manipulated the orbs with the power of darkness and caused them to go haywire, attacking not only Terra and Aqua, but Ventus as well. After the orbs were destroyed, Aqua and Terra moved on to the second part of their exam, which would be to fight one another. It was a long and arduous battle and during the fight, Terra began to tap into the power of darkness unwillingly but quickly held it back. When time ran out, they both stood before the Masters. Eraqus congratulated Aqua on her becoming a new Keyblade Master. But he then told Terra that, because he couldn’t control the darkness within him, he could not become a Master. After Eraqus and Xehanort left, Ven and Aqua tried to comfort Terra but he simply said he needed time alone and walked away. Ven retired to his room, wondering how to cheer up Terra when a voice spoke to him. Ventus sat up quickly and saw a boy around his age wearing dark skin tight clothing and a dark mask covering his face. The boy told Ventus that Terra was going to become one of the dark and Ven yelled angrily back at him, telling the boy he knew nothing about Terra. Walking through a Corridor of Darkness, he left Ventus telling him to go see for himself. Ven ran out to the courtyard but arrived too late, for he saw Terra leave to the Lanes Between. Summoning his Keyblade and donning his armor, Ventus followed Terra in suit, ignoring the cries of Aqua and Master Eraqus below.
After visiting multiple worlds, Ven encountered Vanitas again in the Lanes Between, and he followed him straight to an odd desert world known as The Badlands. There, Ven tried to get some answers out of Vanitas, who simply restated what he said before. The two battle, but Vanitas easily outmatched Ven and nearly killed him. Suddenly, King Mickey appeared and, with his help, Ven manages to beat the dark Keyblade wielder. Upon his defeat, Vanitas told Ventus that he's on probation and vanished, leaving Ven and Mickey alone and confused. The two introduce themselves, and Mickey tells Ven about the Star Shard he’s carrying, a device that allows him to travel to different worlds, but seems to happen randomly. Right after Mickey says this, the Star Shard activated and sent the two of them to Radiant Garden. Ven tried to follow Mickey into a large castle, only to be intercepted by two guards who simply turn him away. After spying an Unversed, Ven gave up his search for Mickey and instead chased after the creature. Eventually, he does find the Unversed he had followed, as well as Terra and Aqua. Together, they faced the Trinity Armor Unversed, but after its defeat, their happy reunion was cut short. First, Aqua tried to tell Ven to go home, and then she and Terra get into a fight regarding the darkness and Eraqus's intentions. The whole time, Ven is left completely confused, as he'd never seen his friends bicker in such a way. In a fit of anger, Terra stormed off and Ven told Aqua that she'd let being a Master go to her head, leaving to follow his friend. His search is interrupted when he spots a young blue haired boy being attacked by the Unversed. Without any hesitation, Ventus protects the boy and defeats his attackers. A tall blond haired man in a white lab coat that matched the boy’s arrived shortly after and thanked Ventus for his help. Then, when asked about Terra's location, tells Ven to look in the Outer Gardens.
Though Ven does find Terra, their reunion is short lived, as Terra leaves, telling Ven that he can't come along, but when he really needs him, he knows he'll be there. Meeting up with Aqua again, Ven asks to come along, but Aqua orders him to return to the Land of Departure in a somewhat harsh manner. Seeing Ven's disappointment, Aqua softened and explained that she merely didn't want him to get hurt before departing. For a while, Ven stayed in Radiant Garden, reminiscing about the times when his friendship wasn't strained by newfound complications. He was left wondering just what it means to be friends. Ventus then ran into two boys, named Lea and Isa. Lea picks a playful fight with Ventus and, after defeating Lea, is cheered up greatly. After leaving the world, Ven had a new resolve. Rather than search for Terra and Aqua, he decided to go out and make some new friends in hopes of finding out what it really meant to be a friend.
After traveling to Neverland, Ventus found Mickey’s Star Shard and, after picking it up, was whisked away to the Mysterious Tower. There, Mickey’s friends Donald and Goofy took Ven up to talk to Master Yen Sid. Wondering where Mickey was, Yen Sid showed the three his location. But what they saw horrified them. Mickey was weak and crawling on the ground and soon the image blurred then cut off. Yen Sid said that it had been because of a dark power that was now in a world known as the Keyblade Graveyard, a place where many Keyblade Wielders had died in the great Keyblade War. Deciding to go help Mickey in Donald and Goofy’s stead, Ven went off to the world, where he met up with Master Xehanort. Xehanort began to tell Ventus the truth about his past and how, if he merged with Vanitas, they would be able to forge the all powerful x-blade. He then asked Ventus if he ever wondered why Eraqus never let him leave the Land of Departure and that it had been because he had never wanted Ven to discover his true power. Xehanort opened a portal of darkness that sucked up Mickey and Ventus, depositing them in the Lanes Between. Forgetting about Mickey, Ventus headed back to his “home” and there met up with Master Eraqus. After yelling at Eraqus, the Master told Ventus of how Xehanort thought that if he caused another Keyblade War, the world would be reunited once more, born anew from the darkness. Eraqus then summoned his Keyblade and said that he would have to destroy Ven to prevent Xehanort from using this terrible power. But before Eraqus’ attack could connect, Terra intervened and pulled Ven aside. Despite Ven’s pleas, Terra threw him into a Corridor of Light and sent him to the Destiny Islands.
After wandering around the new world, Vanitas suddenly appeared and told Ventus that they needed to fight, but Ven refused. Knowing he would say that, Vanitas then told Ven that he should come to the Keyblade Graveyard, where he would see Vanitas kill Terra and Aqua. Before Ven could react, the boy vanished into the darkness. Chasing after Vanitas, Ven arrived at the Keyblade Graveyard, where he saw Terra and Aqua. The two were overjoyed to see him well but the young Keyblader’s face was grim. He told Terra and Aqua Xehanort’s plan and though they tried to reassure him, Ventus asked them to make him a promise. If he did end up having to fight Vanitas, he wanted them to just put an end to him. His friends had no time to protest because Xehanort and Vanitas began their onslaught. During the battle, Ventus became frozen by Xehanort and was dropped from a large height. After Aqua caught, a man holding twin spear guns with a scar across his cheek began taunting Aqua. The two then began to battle as Ven tried to free himself from the ice. After defeating the man, Vanitas launched himself down from above and sliced Aqua, causing her to collapse. Vanitas then held his Keyblade above her to deal the finishing blow when Ven, in his anger, released himself from the ice. The two did battle and after defeating Vanitas, the dark boy laughed. Flood Unversed then rose up and latched onto Ven as Vanitas revealed that all the Unversed, which were dark fledgling emotions, had come from him. He said that he had used them to help Ven grow stronger for their union and that no matter how many were defeated, they would simply return to Vanitas, where he would just send them out again. After this, Vanitas fused with Ven, causing the boy to black out. When he opened his eyes, he found himself inside his Dive to the Heart and saw Vanitas wielding a damaged x-blade. He said that in order to repair it, they would need to complete their union. Ven resolves to defeat Vanitas once and for all and destroy the x-blade, causing him to laugh. Vanitas told Ventus that if he did that, he would destroy his own heart. Not caring for himself and only the safety of his friends, Ven defeated Vanitas. Accepting that it was his time, Ventus burst into shimmering light and vanished.
When the boy awoke, he found himself in an odd city. It was unlike any world he had ever been too. Wandering around, he asked one passerby where he was. The man told him that he was in Symphony, one of the only safe havens in this land due to the miasma and monsters that lay outside. Asking also where he could go to stay, Ven was directed toward a large school. As Ven made the long trek toward the building he began to whistle merrily to himself (Simple and Clean) but when he did, five pillars of light began to rotate around him then fired out, crashing into some buildings. But since he had stopped whistling as soon as he saw the light, it's power wasn't as devastating as it could have been. People inside the buildings would have heard a loud slam but no visible damage could be seen. Ven sighed in relief and decided it safer not to make anymore outward sounds until he arrived at the school... The large steel gate he walked up to read “Sanctuary Academy” and this caused Ven to smile. It seemed fitting how an oasis like this had a school named Sanctuary. Vents rapped on the gates wondering what had happened to him, how he had arrived here, and most of all, if Terra and Aqua were here. Well… He would find out soon enough…
But... maybe with your light...
SKILL(S):
Ven is a natural acrobat and is able to leap high into the air and even slide through it. His dodging technique, the Dodge Roll, grants him a small moment of invulnerability. Ven's speed is also his greatest strength, giving him the ability to lay into his opponents with attack in rapid succession.
MultiVortex: Ven starts by slashing his opponents multiple times, warping around them, before finally spinning and creating a giant tornado filled with shooting stars.
Speed Rave: Ven's personal attack that surrounds him with a golden aura and his speed increases exponentially. It puts a large emphasis on overwhelming enemies with wide-ranged, speed-based combos.
Stratosphere: Ventus flies high into the air and slams down onto his opponents three times before coming down a final time and sending out a pulse of Light energy.
POWER(S):
His name means "wind" so naturally, he has strong power over wind. He also has control over light due to his connection to the Keyblade. This imbues some of his attacks with the power of light.

Rejuvenating Harmony
When Ventus uses different types of magic in his combos, he is able to go into a Style Form. After using his Finish move, the Style then wears off.
Thunderbolt: After using Jolt, Ven is able to go into his Thunderbolt Style, giving his attacks an electrified edge. His finishing move is a swift and wide-range attack that unleashes powerful lightning blast that surrounds the enemy like a cage, shocking them.
Firestorm: Using Blaze in a combo causes the Keyblade to erupt in flames while Ven is attacking. To finish off this form, Ven leaps into the air and does a backhanded swing, causing flames to erupt beneath his opponents.
Diamond Dust: Using a Frost chant during a combo causes the Keyblade to use ice-based attacks. This finish specializes in crowd-control and dealing with multiple enemies by doing a spin attack surrounding the enemies in ice particles, freezing the enemy.
Cyclone: After casting Breeze, Ven's Keyblade uses wind to attack surrounding enemies with spin attacks. The finisher consists of Ventus spinning around and hitting enemies, like a cyclone.
Wingblade: Using Shining Heart, Ventus is able to combat multiple enemies from all directions with a wingspan of light swords. The finisher consists of Ventus jumping in the air with his blades pointed downward. Ventus then lands and causes a flash of light that damages nearby enemies.
WEAPON(S):
Lost Memory Keyblade- The Keyblade overall is an ivory color in varied shades, excluding only the small dash of deep red in the teeth and the keychain, and the black in the handle and hilt. The shaft begins in two from a small heart shape on the end connecting to the handle, much like Oathkeeper, joining halfway down and ending in Ventus' repetitive fleur-de-lis. The handle bears the design on fully outstretched, upward-pointing angel wings. The keychain repeats the design of the teeth, which consist of a crimson heart with a portion broken off. Around it stretches an angel wing on the right side, opposite the broken side of the heart, on which side is a slightly darker-colored flowing crest. The Keychain resembles the teeth as a winged heart. The Keyblade also has the ability to transform in a large hoverboard-esque machine.
I can find the part that's missing...

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Ventus walked up to the facility, eying the large, foreboding iron gates inquisitively. He had crashed onto this odd world, unsure of what it was. It looked like a large castle to him. Perhaps a princess lived here? Or some other form of royalty? Ven wasn't sure what the inhabitants of this world were like... He had better be on his guard, unless he wanted to be attacked... again. He seemed to be marooned in this place because for some odd reason, his Keyblade Ride didn't work...
It appeared that the only way he could get answers was by entering. Who knows? Maybe Terra and Aqua were here. He slipped his hand into his pocket and took out a small star shaped charm the size of his palm. It had green stained glass arranged in a star shape and it had the symbol on his chest in the center. It was a good luck charm Aqua had given to him and Terra... She said that she had based them off of a star shaped fruit that only grew in a certain world... It was a promise that they would always be friends and always be connected... Ventus had to be true to that promise! He squeezed it gently then slipped it back into his pocket.
The Keyblader walked up to the gate and summoned Lost Memory to his hand and rapped it against one of the bars loudly. "HEEEEEEEEY!!! ANYBODY HOOOOOME!?" No one seemed to be able to hear him... Maybe he wasn't making enough noise. He gripped the handle with both of his hand and reared it behind him and brought it forward with all his might.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" A squeaky voice shrilled at Ventus and a white ball of fuzz flew onto his head. His sight went black and he stumbled around blindly. "Gwah! What the heck!? What's going on!?" The voice continued to trill in his ear, this time, right next to it. "Who are you!? What is your business at this school?! Are you an intruder!?"
Ven began to ramble in confusion. He hadn't expecting things to go this bad this soon! "I-I'm an intruder?" Not noticing the questioning tone, the voice gave out a shout of triumph. "Ha! I knew it! Now vile knave-" Light flowed back to Ven's eyes, blinding him for a few seconds. "Ready your blade and fight me!" When his vision returned he looked around and saw no one. He then looked down and saw something he did not expect. It was a Moogle! It wore a knight's helmet on his head and for a sash with a crest that ran across his chest. In his paw, it held a dagger, but to someone his size, it would be a sword. It hopped forward angrily, as if trying to provoke him into attacking.
Ventus smirked at the creature, trying to hold back laughter. The Moogle seemed to take this as an insult because it flew at him, blade raised high. Ven could no longer blow him off, considering now he was a threat. He blocked the blow, shoved it out of the way, and tapped the back of the Moogle's head sharply. The Moogle gripped the back of his head and turned back to Ventus, furious and with tears in his eyes. He charged again and Ven held his blade at the ready. But before the attack connected, another shrill voice bellowed. "RAGI!"
The Moogle, apparently named Ragi, stopped in his tracks. He seemed to wince at the sound of the voice. A loud creak rang out as the gates leading to the school opened and out stepped another Moogle. Perhaps these were the only inhabitants here? This one had an air of being in command. It too wore a sash like Ragi but had no helmet. Instead, it had a long scar running diagonally across his face. Ragi sheathed his sword quickly and went down to one knee before him. "Master Modai! This intruder! He wa-" Ragi was cut off as he received a swift blow to his head. Modai roared at him. "You idiot! Can't you see he was simply trying to enter the school!? Do you pay attention to anything I say!?" Ventus watched bemusedly as Ragi apologized repeatedly to Modai. Modai then walked up to Ven and bowed. "I apologize for Ragi's actions. He is still a Gate Guardian in training. I am Modai, the current Gate Guardian. How may I help you?"
Ven smiled at Modai and shook his head. "There's no need to apologize for him. My friend Terra is the same way." Speaking his friend's name reminded Ven that he was stranded here and needed help. He gazed back down at the Moogle. "I'm looking for my friends. Is there someone here who can help me?" Modai nodded and gestured toward the building. "There in My Sanctuary Academy. The Headmaster will be able to help you."
Ven looked at the two then scratched the back of his head, appearing embarrassed. "This might sound dumb...but the Headmaster...He isn't... a Moogle too right?" Modai laughed heartily and shook his head. "No, no. He isn't a Moogle. Follow me. I'll take you to him." He looked toward Ragi, who now stood at a sharp salute. "Ragi. Close the gates and try to stay out of trouble..." Modai entered with Ven following in suit. The gate creaked as it closed behind them. Ven felt that his journey was about to become much more difficult...
